Forced Textiles
Here's an early study of some force based pattern making for an upcoming canopy project. As the surface approaches a minimal configuration, the pattern becomes a force diagram of the surface it occupies. Yay relationships.

Braaains
Heres some early work with continuous automata. Because each cell holds a value within a real number range, it could serve as an interesting approach to spatial partitioning by extracting a certain range of values from the field at each state. If nothing else it'd make a lovely quilt.

Introductions
Dear internet,
Without being too long winded about it, I'd like to introduce the blog as an ongoing repository of computational design sketches. Most of the content will likely be early stage works in progress in an effort to prioritize driving logics and underlying processes of spatial organization. To get the ball rolling, heres a link to some of my recent work on Vimeo.
Virtually,

Birth of the Blog
“The human mind delights in finding pattern – so much so that we often mistake coincidence or forced analogy for profound meaning. No other habit of thought lies so deeply within the soul of a small creature trying to make sense of a complex world not constructed for it.”
